Welcome to C5 Artworks and rejoice! It is the time of the New Golden Age of Contemporary Art. When a culture or community undergoes a revolution of sorts, one which generates an era of abundance and new ideas, you’ve got a Golden Age. What differentiates the new Golden age of Contemporary Art from other periods, such as the Italian Renaissance, is the universally international phenomenon of this time. Previously, golden ages were self-contained and concentrated by location. class and ideology. Such is not the case today. Mutually exclusive attributes coexist quite harmoniously now, with the slightest of connections from across the far reaches of the globe. What brings all this creativity together? Is it the internet? Is it the next pan-global migration? Or is it the economy? I don’t know, but I do know that the artistic cross-pollination occurring almost everywhere is creating a superbly healthy and diverse crop of art for all to partake.
